As usual, too late for the times, Gilera was able to create the forefather of modern scooters, intended as a two-wheeled vehicle with a mixed metal-sheet metal bearing structure, engine-suspension-transmission unit and lots of plastic for dressing everything. Before the GSA the scooter was a Vespa and only a Vespa.
